Family Flight Tracker is a small, free hobby service run by a private person in the Netherlands. This page explains what is stored and why.
What is stored
- Your account: your name, email address and a user ID, provided when you sign in with Google or an email link.
- Your groups: group names, the travelers you add (names and colors), and the members and their roles.
- Your flights: date or year, departure and arrival airport, airline and which travelers flew.
- Settings on your device: theme and recently used airports are kept in your browser only.
Why
Only to run the service: to let you sign in, show your group's flights and share them with the people you invite. No data is sold, and there are no ads, tracking or analytics cookies.
Who can see it
Only the members of a group can see that group's travelers and flights. Data is stored with Google Firebase in the EU (Netherlands), under Google's data processing terms.
How long
Until you delete it. You can delete flights, groups you own, or your whole account at any time from the Account menu. Deleted data disappears from backups within 7 days.
Your rights
You can download your data (Account → Download data), correct it in the app, or delete it. For any other request, or to complain, email CONTACT_EMAIL. You can also contact the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children
Accounts are for people aged 16 and over. Parents can add children as travelers in their own group.
